Marine Oil Service is seeking to hire a competent and reliable experienced Inland Tankerman (PIC) to join our team. This is for a full-time position for a Day Boat Operation, and would be ideal for a jack of all trades. Employee will be guaranteed a 40‑hour minimum work week, with rotating nights and weekends and an excellent benefit package.
The candidate must be able to follow USCG regulations, as well as company safety policies and procedures, to conduct safe cargo transfers, safe loading and unloading of our tank vessel.
Job Responsibilities- Follow pre-transfer requirements (Declaration of Inspection)
- Adjusting and securing barge lines
- Connecting cargo hoses
- Receiving and initiating pumping
- Maintain medical cards and licenses
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a Tankerman (PIC)
- Physical ability to lift transfer equipment of 60‑100 lbs.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Current TWIC card or ability to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (T.W.I.C.)
- Current U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Credential (MMC) with Tankerman PIC Barge (DL) Endorsement
- Able to work an on‑call schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible for scheduling and overtime
- Strong communication skills, by voice and/or visual hand signals
- Ability to complete accurate paperwork
- Knowledge of basic math skills
Must successfully pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
