2nd Shift Voice Picker

Overview

This role is within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a global publisher, and focuses on voice picking in the Split Case Department.

• Pick orders using voice picking equipment.
• Follow simple voice commands to fill book orders.
• Meet or exceed LM SOP quota.
• Scan labels using a finger scanner.
• Work in other areas of operation from time to time.
• Take direction from different leads when working in other areas.
• Perform replenishments as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma preferred.
• Ability to understand and read shipping labels.
• Ability to understand and follow simple commands.
• Can meet the daily LM quota for picking.
• Attention to detail.
• Good listening and math skills.
• Can lift a minimum of 40 pounds.
• Has careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Able to stand for up to 8 hours per day.
• Can follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Available for overtime as needed (both voluntary and mandatory).

• Monday–Friday: 1:00PM – 9:00PM

Hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City , California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
