Role Overview:

As the Inventory Control & Office Team Lead, you are part of a team that will supporting a cold storage facility. The incumbent will work hand in hand with the Operations Manager & General Manager who will plan and oversee the daily floor operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved, while your focus will be on interfacing with the customer via operations email, entering new receivers into the warehouse management system (WMS), coordinating responses for inventory accuracy and processing administrative paperwork for outbound orders and inbound appointments.

The incumbent must interface well with other team members to create a positive work environment and healthy team culture. This role is hourly non-exempt.

Essential Functions and

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assists with hiring and training Inventory Control staff/Clerical office personnel.
  • Oversee the job assignments and activities of Inventory Control staff.
  • Collaborates with warehouse managers/supervisors to provide timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
  • Oversee the stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers.
  • Locates items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors.
  • Communicate with the warehouse and customers as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc.
  • Oversee the administrative team in the warehouse office to ensure support of inbound and outbound office. This includes, but not limited to: staffing, training, support and performance management.
  • Responsible for Customer Order Processing & Billing through the system in conjunction with Real Cold billing team.
  • Operate warehouse material handling equipment to count inventory products while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist the General Manager & Warehouse Supervisor when needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Position:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of related experience required.
  • Extensive knowledge of operations and production management in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient in operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, high reach, and cherry pickers.
  • Forklift Certification preferred with the ability to attain one upon hire.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must read, write, and understand English.
  • Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently

Work Requirements:
