Job Description
SHIFT: 5:00 PM - 3:30 AM - Monday - Friday (Occasional Saturdays)
PAY: Starting pay $16.25 per hour plus $1.50 shift differential.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis position facilitates staging, loading, and material handling used in the process of preparing steel fabrication product mix for shipment. The ideal candidate will have thorough knowledge of loading techniques and a high attention to detail.
- Perform the required duties ensuring the safety of self, fellow dock workers, and receiving parties with quality as the top priority.
- Scan all products loaded into truck 100%.
- Report any safety or quality concerns to Supervisor or Plant Manager immediately.
- Unload and load trucks and trailers.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment.
- Minimum one year of forklift operation.
- Overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools.
- Willingness to train, certify and operate forklift and overhead crane.
- Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments.
