Accountant, Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

Job Description

Andover Management Group is a growing real estate management company headquartered in downtown Louisville. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Accountant to join our collaborative accounting team. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of accounting while helping improve processes and support a growing organization.

Degree Concentration:
Business and/or Accounting, or previous experience with A/P, General Ledger Accounting, Month End Processes

Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically Excel and Outlook.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the accounting team.

Have meticulous attention to detail.

Knowledge in App Folio and/or Quick Books is a plus.

Experience leveraging technology and AI tools to improve accounting processes is a plus.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Enter invoices into various financial systems
• Match up invoices with remit slips, process and print accompanying check
• Respond to vendor inquiries
• Maintain vendor records, collect COIs and W9s

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, increase efficiency, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with annual WC and GL audits for multiple policies
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for assigned entities
• Create month-end journal entries and accruals for assigned entities
• Prepare and review monthly financial statement package for assigned entities
• CAM Recon experience is a plus

• Create training documents
• Deposit checks at bank, as needed
• Answer phones, as needed
• Keep work area clean and organized
