The Kentucky Department for Community Based Services (DCBS) is a multi-faceted agency that provides service sand programs to enhance the self-sufficiency of families; improve safety and permanency for children and vulnerable adults; and engage families and community partners in a collaborative decision-making process.
The Division of Administration and Financial Management with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services islooking for a Budget Support Specialist who will assist the branch by working closely with the branch manager and other staff.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for the revenue maximization for the Division.
- Assists with oversight of TWIST payment functions: fiscal, programmatic, and technological.
- Ensures appropriate payments are made to foster homes, Private Child Care (PCC), and placements.
- Enters, authorizes, and monitors payments to foster and adoptive parents, private child care (PCC) and other vendors.
- Provides functional supervision over entire out of home care system.
- Completes enter and exit screens on out of home placements; answers questions from public and staff regarding foster care payments.
- Requests, complies, and maintains required approval documents for payment authorization; interprets foster care policy and procedure to foster parents, staff, and vendors.
- Researches, tracks, and resolves billing and payment inconsistencies; monitors and gathers appropriate data and documents for all billings.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in accounting, auditing, or a related field
- Productivity with accuracy and compliance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Willingness to work as part of a team

Minimum RequirementsEDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
