Operations Manager; Professional Services

A leading consulting and professional services firm is looking for an Operations Manager to take a central role in the day-to-day coordination and smooth operation of the business.

The successful candidate will work closely with Management and multiple functions across the organization, ensuring that priorities are effectively managed, deadlines are met, operational issues are proactively addressed, and key initiatives progress through to completion.

This role requires a hands-on professional with strong ownership, excellent organizational skills, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

• Coordinate day-to-day business operations and ensure effective collaboration across different departments and functions.
• Monitor ongoing activities, projects, deadlines, and key deliverables, ensuring appropriate follow-up and timely completion.
• Ensure that critical tasks and operational matters have clear ownership, defined next steps, and agreed timelines.
• Identify operational bottlenecks, delays, and process inefficiencies and proactively coordinate the appropriate stakeholders to resolve them.
• Facilitate effective collaboration between internal teams, including Finance, Legal, IT, Administration, Project Management, and external partners.
• Prioritize and appropriately allocate operational matters, ensuring they are addressed by the right stakeholders.
• Monitor adherence to internal processes and contribute to their continuous improvement and optimization.
• Utilize project and task management tools to maintain visibility over priorities, decisions, actions, and outstanding items.
• Provide Management with concise and meaningful updates on matters requiring attention, intervention, or decision-making.
• Contribute to the onboarding and evaluation of new team members, as well as the implementation of new organizational structures and ways of working.

• Proven experience in Operations, Project Coordination, Customer Operations, Consulting, Financial Services, Insurance, Professional Services, or another structured, service-oriented business environment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple work streams and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ownership mentality and the ability to drive tasks and issues through to completion.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify missing information, and determine appropriate next steps.
• Sound judgment and the ability to distinguish between matters that can be resolved independently and those requiring Management escalation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with different personalities, seniority levels, and professional disciplines.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, maintain systematic follow-up, and ensure accountability against agreed deadlines.
• Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented approach, with the ability to operate effectively without continuous direction.
• Confidence using digital project and task management tools, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and processes.
