PositionSummary
HCS is seeking an Onsite Safety Coordinator in the Elizabethtown, KY area! This is a traveling position and per diem is offered for those who qualify! The Onsite Safety Coordinator is responsible for enforcing company safety, health and environmental policies. This role oversees leads, directs and enforces safety and work practices on construction projects to identify, eliminate and control hazardous conditions that may lead to injury and/or property damage using job specific safety standards, best management practices and injury free environment techniques.

- Make decisions related to work stoppage when circumstances are related to an immediate danger to life and health on a project
- Recommend and implement corrective action based on policies, guidelines and procedures
- Communicate with project staff with resolving field safety issues
- Enforce safe work practices and safe working conditions in accordance with all State, Federal, Local regulations, and owner/contractual requirements
- Educate and advise project staff on safety guidelines and policies
- Takes measures and implements the overall site safety program as required and all applicable safety codes and regulations
- Conduct training and safety meetings
- Evaluate need for training and make recommendations
- Conduct safety audits
- Valid driver's license
- Pre-Employment Screening
- 2+ years Safety Management Experience
- OSHA 30
- Experience 5+ years
- License or Apprenticeship documentation
