The Field Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Logan Area, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction activities on assigned homebuilding projects. This role coordinates trade partners and vendors, schedules and supervises work on site, and ensures that construction progresses according to plans, specifications, and building codes. The Field Superintendent monitors site safety, quality control, and cleanliness, and addresses issues promptly to minimize delays and rework.
The role includes conducting regular inspections, maintaining accurate project documentation, and communicating with project managers, office staff, and clients about timelines and status updates. The Field Superintendent also helps manage materials deliveries, resolves field conflicts, and supports final walkthroughs and punch list completion to deliver homes on schedule and within budget.
- Experience supervising residential or commercial construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors and managing daily site operations.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards relevant to homebuilding.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with trade partners, internal teams, inspectors, and customers.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and related technical documents.
- Proficiency with basic computer tools and construction-related software or mobile applications for documentation and reporting.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite, including enforcing safety policies and supporting a culture of safety awareness.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites in the Greater Logan Area.
- Previous experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, foreperson, or similar field role is strongly preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional construction training, certifications is a plus.
