Upper School Humanities Teacher

Primary Duties

• Teach Humanities courses (English, History, and Social Studies) for students in grades 6–8
• Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with Waldorf educational philosophy
• Use experiential learning, literature-based instruction, writing projects, and discussion-centered teaching methods
• Collaborate with colleagues through faculty meetings, curriculum development, and school-wide activities
• Foster students’ social and emotional development through guidance and mentorship

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or a related discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• Prior experience working with middle school learners
• Familiarity with Waldorf education or openness to training in Waldorf pedagogy
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and classroom management skills
