Facilitator, Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, and Consumer Science (Pool Posting)
The Department of Recreation, Sport Pedagogy, and Consumer Science seeks a facilitator for multiple courses in the Coaching, Health & Physical Education degrees. The role is part-time, with approximately 8 hours per week for a 4‑month assignment during the 2025–2026 academic year.
Responsibilities- Assist in teaching online undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the following programs:
- Master of Science in Soccer Coaching Education
- Master of Science in Coaching Education
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Activity & Sport Coaching
- Bachelor of Science in Physical Education & Teacher Education (PETE)
- Moderate weekly discussion forums, encouraging quality participation and providing meaningful feedback to students.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment.
- Provide timely grading of discussions in accordance with the rubric provided by the instructor of record.
- Master’s degree in an appropriate discipline.
- Evidence of online teaching experience.
- Preferred:
Ability to teach content in skill acquisition, sport psychology, sport sociology, performance analysis, and sport leadership, as well as fostering research, negotiation, and communication skills.
