ECTC is seeking an Admissions Counselor I for the TRIO Upward Bound Math & Science (UBMS) program UBMS program seeks to assist first generation low‑income high school students in preparing for college and careers in STEM. Serving students from the following high schools:
North Hardin, Nelson Co., Thomas‑Nelson, LaRue Co., and Washington Co. The Admissions Counselor I will provide student services to participants and assist the UBMS Program Director with meeting the grant objectives. The Admissions Counselor I will report to the UBMS Program Director. This is a five‑year grant program eligible for renewal in 2027.
- Assist with the facilitation, curriculum development, and implementation of all aspects of the UBMS grant, such as Summer Academy.
- Plan and provide direct student services and workshops to program participants to meet the student’s educational, social, emotional, and cultural development needs.
- Assist with the recruitment of program participants, open houses, and parent engagement.
- Collect, analyze, and maintain student database, transcripts, report cards, test scores, and contact logs to assist the director in grant reporting.
- Creates student files for case management and develops IAPs in conjunction with the director, students, parents, and high school personnel.
- Foster internal and external relationships with faculty, staff, administrator, and students with the college, affiliated high schools, and community partners.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, leadership, math, science) and 1 year of experience, or equivalent. A driver’s license is required to lead outreach events in the community.
