DescriptionThe Nord Center Therapeutic Academy (NCTA) provides comprehensive, student-centered educational services for children with diverse learning and developmental needs. Our dedicated team works collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers to deliver evidence-based instruction and individualized support that empowers every student to reach their full potential.
We are seeking an Intervention Specialist who is passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of students with disabilities. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction aligned with Ohio Learning Standards while implementing each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) to support academic, social, emotional, and functional growth.
Hours: Approximately 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Pay Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
Sign-On Bonus: $500
Working Days: Monday through Friday (School Calendar)
Hours per Week: Approximately 35–40 hours
- Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction in accordance with Ohio Learning Standards and each student's Individualized Education Program (IEP)
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans and instructional strategies that support student success
- Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction and interventions
- Create and maintain compliant IEP documentation, progress reports, and educational records
- Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and multidisciplinary team members to support student achievement
- Foster a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth
- Support students with developmental, educational, communication, and behavioral needs using evidence-based instructional practices
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives
- Previous experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or multiple disabilities
- Experience implementing positive behavior supports and evidence-based instructional practices
- Knowledge of Ohio special education regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills

Requirements- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License issued by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce required
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, therapists, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and best practices in special education
- Ability to commute to Warrensville Heights, Ohio
