Job Description

Step into a fulfilling onsite contract role as an Intervention Specialist serving both elementary and high school students. This full-time position offers 32.5 hours per week throughout the academic year. You'll work collaboratively with educational professionals to deliver specialized support, foster student growth, and create an inclusive classroom environment. This opportunity is perfect for educators passionate about making a difference in the lives of students who benefit from individualized instruction and advocacy.

Qualifications &

Required Experience:

  • Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license (OH IS)
  • Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher or Intervention Specialist in a school setting
  • Solid understanding of a range of cognitive, emotional, and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for team teaching in both elementary and high school environments
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Co-teach with general education staff in both elementary and high school settings
  • Support students with diverse needs, implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and adapting instruction to meet varied learning styles
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and service providers to ensure alignment of educational strategies and student goals
  • Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust interventions as necessary
  • Foster a positive and encouraging classroom culture to enhance student engagement and success
