Job Summary

ECTC is seeking a Director of Student Support Services (SSS) to provide academic and other support services to low-income, first-generation or disabled college students to increase student retention and graduation rates. The director’s time will be split between the ECTC Leitchfield campus and ECTC Springfield campus.

This is a grant-funded position through 2030, with annual evaluations.

Job Duties Responsibilities will include but not limited to
  • Facilitates the development and implementation of all aspects of the grant.
  • Administers and manages the budget in accordance with college policy and in compliance with requirements and regulations of the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Hires, supervises, trains, and evaluates all program personnel.
  • Assist SSS participants with postsecondary course selection.
  • Evaluates SSS program and services to ensure SSS grant goals and objectives are met.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of the Risk Assessment for the program.
  • Collaborates with campus personnel, community partners and agencies to advocate for low-income, first-generation, and disabled SSS participants.
  • Assists with the selection of program participants and completion of the Annual Performance Report (APR).
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications

Position Requirements
  • Education:

    Master’s degree in counseling, social work, higher education or related field and five years related experience, or equivalent.
  • Travel & Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience working with federal regulations including EDGAR and Cost-Circulars.
  • Experience in administration, teaching, or related fields with data management, budget, and supervisory experience.
  • Experience assisting first generation, low-income, or disadvantaged populations and an understanding of cultures, heritages, and learning styles of individuals served.
  • Knowledge and experience in financial aid, advising, career counseling, and college admission procedures.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and presentation skills required.
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple constituents, including college administrators and community agencies.
