Cyber Security Engineer

Location:

Franklin or Madison County, Ohio. Onsite interview and onsite work in Franklin or Madison County.

• Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring, and upgrading security measures for the protection of DRC data, systems, and networks.
• Responding to all system and/or network security breaches.
• Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities.
• Evaluating the organization's security needs and establishing best practices and standards accordingly.
• Taking appropriate security measures to ensure DRC's infrastructure and existing data are kept safe.
• Perform scheduled and ad-hoc vulnerability scans across networks, servers, and endpoints.
• Analyze scan results, validate findings, and prioritize remediation based on risk and exploitability.
• Partner with IT team and application teams to coordinate remediation and verify fixes.
• Tune scans and reduce false positives to improve data accuracy.
• Develop vulnerability metrics, dashboards, and executive-level reports.
• Conduct testing and scans to identify any vulnerabilities in the network and system.

• 10 years of experience with Network Security and threat detection.
• 10 years of experience with incident response and vulnerability management.
• 10 years of experience administering Qualys.
• 10 years of experience with remediation documentation and patch management processes.
• 4-year college degree (highly desired).
• CISP Certification (highly desired).
