Position: Manufacturing Engineer - Wood Working - KY #2486

Manufacturing Engineer – Wood Working - KY #2486

Full-time position located in Elizabethtown, KY, with relocation assistance available.

Responsibilities
  • Develop new processes to improve efficiencies and throughput in all production areas.
  • Maintain plant layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Work with Department Managers to improve process flow, eliminate waste, and achieve production output and quality goals.
  • Develop methods to increase material yields and reduce material waste.
  • Implement and train associates on Lean Manufacturing techniques and methods.
  • Design and implement fixturing/jigs to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Document standard work instructions.
  • Assist in cost analysis of new and existing products.
  • Assist in procurement and installation of new equipment.
  • Maintain a safe working environment with emphasis on reducing recordable injuries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (technical related field).
  • Minimum 3 years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in woodworking.
  • Minimum 1 year Lean manufacturing implementation experience; certification preferred.
  • Hands‑on experience with CNC and automated equipment.
  • Proficient use of AutoCAD 13 or higher, Excel, and Word.
  • Self‑starter, able to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to function under interruptions and deadlines.

Candidate submission must include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • 3+ years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in woodworking.
  • Hands‑on Lean manufacturing experience; certification preferred.
  • Experience with CNC and automated equipment.
  • Proficient AutoCAD 13 or higher.
