We are partnering with a global manufacturing organization that supplies highly engineered products to leading automotive and industrial customers worldwide. Due to continued growth and investment in automation, they are seeking a Controls Engineer to join their engineering team.

This role is responsible for designing, programming, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing control systems while supporting plant automation, production efficiency, and equipment reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program, troubleshoot, and support Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLC systems
  • Develop and maintain HMI and automation control systems
  • Design and implement electrical controls for manufacturing equipment
  • Support robotics, variable frequency drives, networking, and industrial automation systems
  • Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, HMI, communication networks, and electrical control issues
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, and reliability
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, and Quality teams to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Develop and maintain controls documentation, standards, and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a technical field required;
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of controls, automation, or manufacturing engineering experience
  • Strong PLC programming experience with Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley platforms
  • Experience troubleshooting PLC, DCS, and HMI systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams
  • AutoCAD or similar CAD experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
