This remote Financial Planner role will work with the state of Kentucky plan supporting their government/public sector plan participants. Occasional travel within the state of Kentucky is required. Living within the territory or a border city is strongly preferred.
The role requires Series6,63,65 (or 7/66), a resident life insurance license, and the CFP designation. This is a G2 band position.
- Advises customers and internal and external sales representatives on retirement income plan development, explains product features and administrative procedures, and recommends new products as appropriate.
- Reviews and/or prepares comprehensive financial plans and needs‑based assessments using approved financial planning software, prepares alternatives, and frames the plan for presentation to the client.
- Partners with Sales to ensure awareness of open proposals and drives status and outcome.
- Develops and conducts producer training in the corporate office and in the field.
- Meets all regulatory requirements and coordinates under applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Adheres to all firm compliance and supervisory policies, including anti‑money laundering, OFAC, and privacy policies.
- Compiles marketing intelligence, including sales activity, production, FAQs, and objections raised by customers.
- Researches complex technical questions for the sales force on products, planning issues, tax, Social Security, and other retirement concerns.
- Conducts periodic retirement planning seminars for customers and producers, both virtually and in person upon request.
- Assists in entity‑level presentations (written or in person) where retiree services information is required.
- Maintains awareness of changing legal environment as it impacts investments, retirement plans, and insurance products.
- Works with compliance, communications, advice, systems, sales, and administration to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Acts as a technical resource to communications on retiree marketing efforts.
- Maintains detailed records of customer interactions, recommendations, and actions according to regulations.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports to a Director or Associate Vice President and does not have direct reports.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in finance. - License/Certification/Designation: FINRA6 license and Certified Financial Planner designation required; must obtain required federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the designated time period.
- Experience:
Two years in the financial services industry with a specialization in financial planning. - Knowledge of Profiles or Money Guide Pro or similar financial planning software.
- In‑depth understanding of financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client service strategies.
- Knowledge of investment products and familiarity with property and casualty distribution is a plus.
- Superior analytical, organizational, research, initiative, and multitasking skills.
- Overtime Eligibility:

Normal office environment; occasional travel; must have a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record. - ADA:
