ECTC is seeking a Manager II, Accounting for the Business Office on‑site to ensure the accurate recording and reporting of a unit's financial transactions.
Job Duties- Completes monthly and other regular account reconciliation reports, including Cash, Gift, Grant, and liability accounts. Analyzes financial reports, data, and records, identifies discrepancies, investigates, and recommends solutions as needed.
- Tracks, reconciles, and monitors daily Perkins accounting processes, including reporting and coordination of accounting activities.
- Completes journals and reports for various financial needs within an automated financial system to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Supervises two staff positions related to college billing activities, including Third Party, Dual Credit, and Centralized billing.
- Develops and maintains automated financial systems, recommending controls to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Assists in the compilation and completion of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial reports.
- Provides budget information and projections based on existing data and established policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Typical years of relevant experience: 2-4.
Successful Candidates should Demonstrate:
- A working knowledge of word processing, databases, and/or spreadsheet applications is required.
- Ability to accurately apply and explain policies, procedures, and record systems.
- Effective communication skills, oral and written.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality.
- Successful operation of standard office equipment such as fax, computer, telephone, and copy machines.
- Ability to convey information to a diverse population of students, staff, and the public.
- Skills to multitask and handle walk‑in, phone, and internet requests in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
