Small Business Credit Officer II
General FunctionReview and make decisions on small business loan applications for high dollar and complex loans within a centralized environment. Provide expertise on financial analysis and loan structuring, assist peers and less experienced staff, and maintain accountability for risk by following policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Spread financial statements based on information provided in the loan package.
- Provide loan decisions and/or credit recommendations based on review of underwriting criteria, including loan structure, collateral, interest rate, and fees.
- Perform global cash flow and balance sheet analysis for small-business healthcare loans of up to $2 million.
- Independently prepare a written evaluation of a borrower's financial condition and future outlook, identifying risks and mitigation.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop loan structures that meet customer needs while adhering to the organization’s risk appetite.
- Assist and mentor fellow team members in portfolio monitoring.
- Identify opportunities and recommend solutions for process improvements and software development.
- Mentor credit analysts to help them develop risk management skills and knowledge.
- Effectively communicate loan decisions to loan originators.
- Identify and review all necessary due diligence items.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with originators.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required- College degree in accounting, finance, or economics preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in underwriting, portfolio monitoring, or similar business loan analysis.
- Basic knowledge of commercial lending and credit standards, policies, procedures, and products.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel. Familiarity with the Bank’s internal applications is helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
Total base pay range: $71,100.00 - $ USD per year.
Eligible for an incentive compensation plan based on performance.
