The Role:

Congo Brands is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager in the Accounting department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for our fast-paced and innovative company. As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our accounting processes, including the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing insightful recommendations for financial improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage monthly close processes including key schedules, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide insights on financial performance.
• Supervise and/or manager general ledger accounting functions.
• Develop staff by managing performance, providing ongoing training and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Assist in directing annual financial statement audits.
• Assist in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

Requirements

Key Skills and Experience Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA designation is preferred but not required.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems. Net Suite is a plus.
• Experience at a CPG or Food/Beverage Company.
• Experience with foreign currency and global consolidations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
