Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Evening Laboratory Supervisor located in Elizabethtown, KY. The Evening Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing laboratory operations during evening shifts, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. Responsibilities include supervising laboratory personnel, managing workflows, overseeing quality control, performing tests, troubleshooting laboratory equipment, and ensuring timely communication with healthcare providers regarding test results.

The supervisor will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and fostering professional growth among staff.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Supervisory Skills to lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively.
  • Proficiency in Medical Technology and the ability to perform and oversee complex diagnostic and analytical procedures.
  • Experience with Quality Control processes and ensuring adherence to regulatory healthcare standards.
  • Strong Analytical Skills for problem-solving and ensuring the accuracy of laboratory test results.
  • Familiarity with Laboratory Equipment, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable.
