Service Now Architecture, Technical Best Practices and Standards, and resource manager for all Service Now technical consultants. Leading technical initiatives for both internal and external Service Now clients in addition to maintaining technical consistency across the organization and providing enterprise‑level solutions with technical leadership throughout the lifecycle from pre‑sales through go‑live.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES- Identifying opportunities for improvements both internally and externally and working with teams to perform those improvements
- Design and ownership of all technical standards, and the SDLC process for the organization
- Resource manager for all technical consultants
- Provide technical coaching and instruction to all technical consultants
- Maintaining resource plans for all technical consultants
- Encourage collaboration across all project teams
- Provide guidance on any/all solutions in the platform
- Technical leadership for project teams
- Responsible and accountable for pre‑sales activities and architecting solutions for new initiatives
- Maintaining technical consistency across the organization
- Development of architecture documentation for implementations
- Membership on the architecture board for new solutions offered to customers
- Serve as a primary technical advisor for clients
- Provide assistance to and technically lead functional teams including building request items, tasks, workflows, etc.
- Collaborate with client and internal teams to validate technical requirements
- Design and document technical design, as needed, on stories to meet client requirements
- Deliver end‑to‑end automated solutions which include implementation of the Service Now platform, core system, and other Service Now‑centric applications
- Design and develop 3rd party integration with Service Now using approaches common to Service Now (REST, SOAP, JDBC, etc.)
- Work directly with end users to resolve support issues within Service Now
- Monitor health, usage, and overall compliance of Service Now and its applications
- Act as a best practice agent in monitoring and reporting on the health, performance, and compliance of the core Service Now platform as well as custom solutions
- Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, Script Includes, ACLs, etc.
- Conduct research and adept in emerging products, services, and standards
- Provide high visibility into status of technical work commitments
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred)
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (required)
- Service Now Certified Implementation Specialist in three (3) areas (required)
- Service Now Certified Application Developer (required)
- Service Now Suite Certifications in two (2) areas (required)
- ITIL V3 or V4 Foundations Certification (required)
Minimum of eight (8) years experience in an Information Services environment, minimum of four (4) years in Service Now development, minimum of two (2) years in Service Now architecture, minimum of four (4) years in Service Now consultative engagement technical ownership, development experience or oversight in at least forty (30) implementations, minimum of one (1) year management experience, technical experience in enterprise‑level solution design.
