Information Technology Specialist

Job Description

Pro Fusion Industries, a highly regarded provider of transit step treads and transit flooring, custom specialty film products and protective linings is seeking an Information Technology Specialist at its Marietta, Ohio manufacturing facility.

The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for supporting the company’s computer systems and database networks to ensure proper maintenance and security.

• Assist with issues concerning the following hardware and software:
  • IBM POWER i server
    • User profile maintenance and password resets.
    • Job maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • Print queue maintenance and troubleshooting.
    • IBM i Access Client and System i Navigator.
  • Windows Server 2016 and higher
    • Active Directory maintenance.
    • Group Policy maintenance.
    • Directory sharing and permissions.
    • WSUS patch maintenance.
  • Windows 10 Professional and higher
  • Telephone administration
    • Avaya telephone system and voice mail.
    • VOIP system.
  • Printer maintenance and administration
    • Desktop and networked inkjet and laser printers.
    • Zebra label printers and ZPL II label formats.
  • Cisco switch administration
  • Cisco wireless management and access points
  • Handheld barcode scanners
  • Company-owned cell phones and MDM (MaaS
    360) profiles
  • Sophos XG and Cisco firewalls
• Assist with user issues concerning the following enterprise software:
  • Infor System 21 ERP and Workspace Anywhere GUI.
  • Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Outlook/Exchange e‑mail.
  • Microsoft Defender anti‑virus.
  • Symantec DLO desktop backup.
  • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Power BI.
• Assist with developing:
  • SQL queries (DB2 and T‑SQL) for SSRS reporting and ad‑hoc reports.
  • SQL Server Integration Services packages for data transfer and cubes.
• Security:
  • Create and maintain user profiles for accessing ERP, network, VPN, and wireless.
  • Create and maintain firewall rules for network access.
  • Review firewall and e‑mail logs as needed.

• Associate’s degree in Networking or Computer Science with a minimum of two (2) years of experience working in information technology;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Relevant network and certification(s) are preferred.
• Demonstrates positive interpersonal and customer service skills to courteously deal with and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
• Ability to work in a multi‑task work environment, with constant interruptions and distractions while maintaining and meeting strict deadlines for projects.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of restricted or private information and records and effectively handle sensitive matters.
• Strong technical understanding of cyber‑security standards and firewall policies.
