Role Overview
We are seeking a Service Desk Analyst II to support IT Asset and Inventory Management operations. This role is responsible for managing IT equipment inventory, processing hardware requests, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting logistics activities, and providing backup Level 1 Service Desk support. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, inventory management experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities- Process all IT equipment entering and leaving the department.
- Maintain and update the Asset Inventory Management System.
- Process salvage equipment, including hard drive removal and asset disposition activities.
- Unpack, pack, and prepare equipment for shipment to various locations.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery of equipment between internal and external locations.
- Fulfill Service Now equipment requests, including monitors, keyboards, mice, HDMI cables, and other peripherals.
- Reconcile paper and electronic inventory records on a daily basis.
- Validate and audit IT Operations Room equipment inventory to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory documentation and tracking records.
- Support inventory control, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle management activities.
- Serve as a backup resource for Level 1 Service Desk support.

- Experience managing and maintaining inventory records and asset management systems.

- Excellent organizational, analytical, planning, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Educational background in IT Support or a related field.
- Experience supporting hardware inventory, asset tracking, and equipment management activities.
- Hybrid work schedule with onsite work required every third day.
- Occasional responsibility for equipment transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory audits.
- Experience with Service Now is preferred.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a hands‑on inventory and equipment management environment.
- Ability to support mission‑critical government operations and follow established security and compliance procedures.
