Job Description

The Business Consultant is the core functional expert responsible for translating customer business needs into a working solution. This role leads the blueprinting phase, configures the application hands‑on, and supports testing to ensure the solution meets defined requirements. It also contributes in pre‑sales by understanding client needs and performing scoping aligned with the platform. Additionally, the role drives clear, consistent communication with the customer to ensure a smooth implementation aligned with the project plan and methodology.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Blueprinting
    :
    Lead client workshops to define business requirements and translate them into scalable PXM solution designs and functional blueprints. Coach clients through defining requirements, reviewing and validating these aligned to the project scope. Test configurations prior to client hand‑over. Produce high‑quality functional specifications and solution blueprints aligned with best practices.
  • Configuration & Delivery
    :
    Configure PXM solution (data model, workflow, syndication) aligned with client approved designs. Work collaboratively with the PXM consulting team to ensure configurations adhere to best practices and performance standards defined by the Project Team Lead.
  • Quality Assurance & Testing Support
    :
    Own functional integrity across SIT and UAT, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are production‑ready. Proactively communicate with clients to ensure the solution meets the envisioned expectations and requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management & Governance
    :
    Act as a functional point of contact, managing communication, expectations, and delivery alignment with client stakeholders.
  • Partner Enablement
    :
    Support partner onboarding and capability development to scale PXM delivery. Actively participate in partner workshops and enablement programs, providing constructive feedback on PXM delivery capabilities.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
  • Strong Stakeholder Management
    :
    Ability to actively listen, identify and translate client requirements from concept into design for implementation, leading scoping workshops and project kick‑offs. Strong consulting and stakeholder management experience, including executive‑level engagement.
  • Required Technical Mastery
    :
    Functional expertise in PXM (PIM, DAM, Syndication, Data Governance) including the ability to independently perform system configurations. Ability to translate complex business processes into scalable solution designs.
  • Organizational Knowledge
    :
    Strong understanding of industry standard business processes (apparel, F&B, Beauty, Consumer electronics, manufacturing etc.) and the ability to map industry‑relevant processes to application capabilities.
  • Communication & Requirements
    :
    Proven ability to prepare for and effectively lead client scoping workshops, documenting project design requirements, and communicate functional trade‑offs to business users.
  • eCommerce Ecosystem Expertise
    :
    Proven experience with platforms such as Shopify, Magento and Salesforce Commerce Cloud, with a strong grasp of underlying data models and API integrations.
  • Syndication Channel Knowledge
    :
    Solid understanding of product data requirements and distribution to channels such as Amazon, marketplaces and retail partners; experience with aligning data models to channel‑specific standards is an advantage.
