- Conduct thorough assessments of our current security infrastructure to identify vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.
- Develop and implement robust security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Monitor network traffic and system logs to detect and respond to security incidents in real-time.
- Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy security solutions that align with business objectives and risk management strategies.
- Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
- Provide training and awareness programs for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Stay updated on the latest cyber threats and trends, and proactively adjust security measures to mitigate risks.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance status for management review.
- Work closely with external vendors and partners to ensure that third-party services meet our security requirements.
- Participate in incident response planning and execution, ensuring that all incidents are documented and analyzed for future prevention.
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance your skills and stay current with emerging technologies and security practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in cyber security or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
- Experience with incident response and handling security breaches effectively.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and architecture, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to cyber security.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
- Experience with cloud security and securing cloud-based applications.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Power Shell for automation of security tasks.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations such as GDPR or CCPA.
- Experience in a maritime or logistics environment is a plus.
- Proficient in using security information and event management (SIEM) tools for threat detection and analysis.
- Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.
- Experience with endpoint protection solutions and network security appliances.
- Knowledge of encryption technologies and secure communication protocols.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- This position is based in Athens, Piraeus, and may require occasional travel to other locations as needed.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in Greece; visa sponsorship is available for qualified applicants.
