The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting end users and administering the organization's IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, Active Directory, network systems, cybersecurity controls, virtualization platforms, telecommunications systems, and manufacturing-related technologies. As the facility's primary technical resource, this role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations while supporting business growth and continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to manage and improve a broad range of technologies in a growing manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Acts as the primary IT liaison and demonstrates strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Responds to service requests and incidents through the IT ticketing system and provides technical support for software, hardware, network, and related technology issues, including desktops, laptops, copiers, office and label printers, barcode scanners, and mobile devices.
- Creates, modifies, and deactivates user accounts and access permissions based on approved requests.
- Documents incidents, service requests, troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and escalation actions within the IT ticketing system.
- Serves as the primary administrator for network, server, and endpoint infrastructure and coordinates with vendors and external support providers when specialized assistance is required.
- Administers and supports Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, antivirus, email security, and related infrastructure services.
- Administers and supports Cisco network infrastructure, including switches, wireless systems, VPN connectivity, and firewall security policies.
- Supports Access Control, CCTV, and other IT-related physical security systems.
- Monitors system and network health, connectivity, availability, capacity, and performance indicators and reports abnormalities, risks, or improvement opportunities.
- Executes security patching and vulnerability remediation activities for servers, endpoints, network devices, and related IT systems; verifies successful deployment, documents results, and resolves or escalates issues affecting system security, stability, or availability.
- Maintains accurate inventories of IT hardware, software, licenses, and related technology assets.
- Updates inventory records for the receipt, deployment, transfer, replacement, and disposal of IT assets.
- Provides inventory documentation and evidence during audits, reviews, and compliance activities.
- Creates and processes IT purchase requisitions and purchase orders; verifies item descriptions, quantities, pricing, and vendor information and tracks order status as required.
- Evaluates and recommends system, network, and facility technology improvements while identifying opportunities for cost savings, operational efficiencies, automation, and process improvements.
- Assists in the planning, design, implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of networks, security systems, telecommunications systems, servers, and related IT infrastructure.
- Performs troubleshooting, incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities for infrastructure and technology-related issues.
- Follows established policies, standards, and procedures to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations.
- Performs additional responsibilities as required to support departmental and organizational objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of Microsoft server, network, and endpoint administration concepts.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, patch management, and endpoint protection best practices.
- Ability to maintain accurate technical documentation and inventory records.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain regular attendance.
- Ability to provide occasional after-hours and weekend support when required.
- Associate degree and 5+ years of related experience, or Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including switches, wireless systems, VPNs, and firewall technologies, required.
