Job PurposeThis role leads the branch’s proactive sales efforts, focusing on a client‑centric, consultative approach to uncover and fulfill financial needs across our consumer and business product lines. The incumbent is a sales and sales‑leader coordinating activities and results to meet branch and individual goals.
Job Duties- Drive employee and business development, managing a sales pipeline, activities, and sales goals.
- Turn service encounters into dialogue‑based meetings to uncover additional needs.
- Maintain and apply product knowledge to generate and execute lending and deposit products.
- Interpret documents – safety rules, account documents, operating instructions, compliance and loan procedures.
- Support and lead branch staff in servicing clients and building a book of business.
- Proactively meet clients’ financial needs through our sales process.
- Use Salesforce for client and prospect interactions and record sales activities.
- Make outside business calls to acquire and retain business.
- Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with partners.
- Lead sales meetings and coaching sessions to ensure individual and branch success.
- Collaborate with the Regional Manager to assign goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies.
- Manage day‑to‑day branch activities, staff recruitment, retention, and development.
- Maintain an efficient, productive, and collaborative working environment with continuous communication.
- Conduct weekly staff meetings and structured coaching sessions.
- Deliver performance feedback, including quarterly and annual reviews and developmental plans.
- Ensure team compliance with policies and procedures, including Retail Branch Standards.
- Lead branch initiatives to build external business and community relationships; manage CIRA strategies.
- Monitor branch delinquency and work with the collection group; control teller errors and outages.
- Ensure overall operational soundness, annual assessment, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Operate cash drawers and provide coverage as needed.
- Assist associates with troubleshooting and processing transactions on Teller Insight.
- Research and resolve customer and branch concerns.
- Complete required bank and branch policy training.
- Capture client concerns and provide solutions within stated timelines.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Job Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in financial services.
- 1‑3 years’ experience in a managerial role preferred.
- Demonstrated sales success individually and as a leader.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, customer service, cross‑selling and lending skills.
- Decision‑maker with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational and motivational abilities.
- Background and credit standards to hold NMLS credentials.
- Trustworthy and confidential behavior.
- Computer proficiency and experience with banking systems.
- Independent and collaborative work style.
- Travel to the Marietta, Ohio Training Center and other branches as needed; overnight stays possible.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
