The Manufacturing Engineer will install and qualify new process equipment as well as troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing issues on the production line in a timely manner. These include tool-down issues, yield, quality issues, and identifying actions to prevent repeat issues. Basic Job Functions- Support the administration, execution, and continual improvement of First Solar’s ISO 9001–certified Quality Management System (QMS) with specific ownership of the Calibration and Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) process.
- Develop, implement, and maintain calibration and IQA – related procedures, work instructions, and processes in support of the QMS.
- Lead and maintain site-wide Calibration Management System to ensure all inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE) are calibrated, controlled, and compliant.
- Support internal, external (ISO), customer, and third-party audits related to calibration, measurement systems, and quality compliance.
- Support and maintain Incoming Quality Assurance activities, including inspection planning, supplier material verification, and nonconformance handling.
- Maintain calibration records, documentation, and data integrity in compliance with regulatory, contractual, and company requirements.

The following is an entry level Automation Technician controls position were a successful candidate will be required to support manufacturing operations, assist with equipment implementation/startup, , PLC/HMI programing, and trouble-shooting/optimization of manufacturing processes control systems. This position directly supports a manufacturing site, the successful candidate will be assigned to a manufacturing schedule on either AM or PM crew/shift. AM shift is 6:00AM – 6:10PM.
PM shift is 6:00PM – 6:10AM. This results in a rotating 36/48 hour work week schedule, which includes working every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
