Position Summary:

The Melting Department is responsible for supporting daily production operations by safely operating melting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow.

Scope of Responsibilities:

This role includes performing machine start-up and shutdown procedures, completing accurate production and downtime reporting, and following all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop-Call-Wait process.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Achieving daily production targets and ensuring part quality meets customer requirements
• Demonstrates all essential duties & responsibilities in Melting
• Start-up and shutdown of melting machines
• Complete accurate production and downtime reports with correct codes, reject quantity and descriptions
• Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop-Call-Wait process
• Maintain good housekeeping

Preferred Training/

Experience:

• Flexibility to work in a hot environment
• Ability and willingness to work any shift as needed
• Willingness to work overtime - at times with short notice
• Forklift experience preferred
