We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor with a strong mechanical background to lead daily operations in our manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone who likes to be very hands on, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, understands the importance of quality and efficiency, and takes pride in developing and mentoring their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day production activities to meet quality, safety, and delivery goals.
• Review and interpret mechanical and operational drawings to ensure product compliance with prints and written specifications.
• Measure and evaluate product features using precision measuring equipment; ensure proper calibration and use.
• Monitor scrap rates, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Evaluate product and process performance to maintain consistent quality standards.
• Utilize SPC (Statistical Process Control) to monitor production trends and drive process improvements.
• Lead, train, and develop production personnel to build a strong, capable team.
• Plan and schedule production runs, including changeovers and equipment setups.
• Assess machine capability and schedule maintenance or downtime as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Maintain cost-effective production practices while meeting deadlines and quality targets.
• Ensure operator training meets job requirements; cross-train employees to maximize workforce flexibility.
• Enforce and model strict adherence to all safety and standard operating procedures; provide ongoing safety training and equipment.
• Manage inventory of expendable supplies within budget guidelines.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Ability to jump in and help when needed.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical background with a solid understanding of production processes, and equipment capability.
• Working knowledge of quality systems and precision measurement tools.
