Public Relations Specialist

Location:
Remote (MUST be located in KY, IN, TN, OH for travel)

Rate: $35-45/hr DOE

Clutch is looking for a Public & Media Relations Specialist with media agency experience for a client of ours.

• Develop and present creative PR strategies and campaign ideas.
• Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to relevant media outlets.
• Conduct follow-ups with journalists and media contacts to secure coverage.
• Build and maintain media contact lists tailored to the client's industry.
• Deliver detailed reports summarizing media coverage, impressions, and metrics.
• Provide support to guide organizations through sensitive and high-pressure situations.

• Proven experience in developing and executing PR campaigns within a media agency setting.
• Bachelors in Media, Marketing, or similar required.
• Strong writing and editing skills for drafting press releases and media materials.
• Experience in building and maintaining media contact lists.
• Proficiency in tracking media metrics and generating coverage reports.
• Ability to be strategic under pressure for crisis management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Non-profit, retail, tourism, healthcare industry experience a strong plus!
