First Missionary is a grace-based church located in Western Kentucky. The church exists to know Jesus and to make Him known. First Missionary places a strong emphasis on its teaching ministry and making disciples. For several years the church has experienced consistent growth and is mostly comprised of young families. Since moving to a new campus six years ago, the church has continued to grow especially in its children and youth ministries.

At the present time, First Missionary is looking to make plans for facility expansion.

We are currently seeking to fill the full‑time position of Minister of Children and Families. This position will be responsible for directing the planning and coordinating of our children’s ministry, nursery‑5th grade, and for partnering with parents to help them lay the spiritual foundation of their children.

• Oversee the children’s ministry from birth to 5th grade and its ministry team
• Develop ministry and events to equip parents to disciple their children
• Cultivate personal connections and relationships with children and their families
• Work with church leaders in fostering a ministry that understands the challenges of the community and culture and aligns with the overall church ministry, mission, vision, and theology.

• A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a strong personal faith, with a grace-oriented theology, and a passion for ministering to children and families.
• Prior experience in ministry leadership, including ministry development, volunteer management, and/or pastoral or church ministry leadership.
• Preferred bachelor’s degree in Christian education, ministry, or a related field
• Spiritual gifts in leadership, administration, and teaching
• A heart with a desire to see children and families come to know and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
