Job Description

Bloomington Medical Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with experience or certification to practice in our Orthopedic office.

We offer general, sports and spine orthopedic services.

Responsibilities include:

• This is a full-time position. Outpatient/Inpatient and assisting in OR.
• Practice includes health promotion, prevention as well as acute and chronic care.
• Obtain patient history, perform assessment in an outpatient setting to determine how to help patients with their needs.
• Position may include rounding on hospitalized patients.
• Performs procedures within the scope of practice.
• Office phone call coverage participation.
• Collaborate with physician and refer to services as needed to provide excellent quality services to our patients.
• Counsel and educate patient and their families/caregivers, as appropriate.
• Documentation of care in our electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and standard of care. Providing care within the scope of practice.
• Communication with other health care providers as needed to promote continuity of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
