Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 26‑bed step‑down unit, requiring an active KY or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• Previous nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Candidate must provide MM/DD of date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN for consideration

• 26‑bed all‑private‑room step‑down unit (one level below ICU)
• All patients are on telemetry with continuous heart monitoring
• Patient population includes GI bleed, COVID, respiratory distress, and patients requiring critical drips
• Nurse‑to‑patient ratio of 4‑5:1
• Night shift, 12‑hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13‑week contract
• Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, and facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Delegates tasks to and oversees team members in the delivery of patient care
• Participates in unit‑based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI reduction
• Collaborates with an inter‑professional care team including Case Management
