Overview
Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion (9:30a.m. – 5:30p.m.)
Responsibilities- Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission through discharge.
- Plan, assess, intervene, and evaluate patient care using an outcome‑focused approach.
- Conduct routine ongoing assessments and implement interventions as indicated.
- Involve patients, families, providers, and other care team members in care planning.
- Review and document care provided, outcomes, and evaluations.
- Ensure adherence to professional standards of care, evidence‑based practices, and critical‑thinking skills.
- Prioritize care based on changing assessments and patient needs.
- Maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
- Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification completed before orientation.
- Oncology Certified Nurse certification obtained within two years of hire.
- Crisis Prevention certification obtained within six months of hire.
- Recent experience in oncology specialty preferred.
