Registered Nurse Oncology Infusion

Overview

Registered Nurse – Oncology Infusion (9:30a.m. – 5:30p.m.)

• Provide direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission through discharge.
• Plan, assess, intervene, and evaluate patient care using an outcome‑focused approach.
• Conduct routine ongoing assessments and implement interventions as indicated.
• Involve patients, families, providers, and other care team members in care planning.
• Review and document care provided, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Ensure adherence to professional standards of care, evidence‑based practices, and critical‑thinking skills.
• Prioritize care based on changing assessments and patient needs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments.

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kentucky.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification completed before orientation.
• Oncology Certified Nurse certification obtained within two years of hire.
• Crisis Prevention certification obtained within six months of hire.

• Recent experience in oncology specialty preferred.
