Patient Advocate Manager Full-time, first shift, M-F

Job Description

Working manager role responsible for both leadership and direct service delivery. Provides day-to-day oversight of the Patient Advocate team while also performing Patient Advocate duties. Develops, implements, and oversees patient rights and advocacy processes and initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Receives, handles, and responds to patient complaints/grievances and other needs. Serves as a liaison by listening to concerns, identifying opportunities for improvement, and seeking solutions through the appropriate administrative channels.

Collaborates with the healthcare team to improve patient care and promote positive patient, family, physician, and caregiver communication. Serves as the Patient & Family Engagement (PFE) Coordinator, providing leadership to the Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC). Responsible for fiscal, staff management and resource development of the Patient Advocate Department.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, Communications, Business Administration, or other healthcare related field required.
  • Active RN license issued by the state of KY required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient advocacy, healthcare navigation/operations, or a related role within a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Notary Public preferred upon hire, required within 6 months.
