Job Title: RN-Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence, current research, hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. The RN coordinates and provides direct patient care activities, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.
The RN ensures nursing excellence through collaboration with other disciplines and active participation in quality improvement activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS certification.
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and/or Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) experience.
- Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members.
- Knowledge of computer systems and applications or ability to be trained.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous nursing experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
