American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

• 28-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient- and team-focused environment
• RN to patient ratio of 5-6:1
• Serves an adult patient population ages 18 and up
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule from 7p-7a
• 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday rotation required

• Active, unrestricted RN license in KY or compact license required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Provide direct patient care including nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities
• Deliver patient and family-centered education and care coordination
• Delegate and oversee tasks performed by other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Collaborate closely with case management and the interprofessional care team
