American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 26-bed surgical telemetry unit with a KY or compact RN license required.

• 26-bed surgical telemetry unit caring for pre- and post-surgical patients
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule, 7p-7a
• Weekend and holiday rotation required

• Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices

• Provides comprehensive nursing assessments, treatments, and care coordination across the nursing process
• Facilitates admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education
• Delegates and oversees patient care tasks performed by other team members
• Participates in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
