Senior Quality Assurance Specialist
Job Code: QA09
Grade Level: 10 (Exempt)
Under general supervision, performs quality assurance support for the QA team. Typical job duties are routine and require use of standard techniques and procedures.
- Plan and prepare quality assurance documents and procedures, assisting all levels of project personnel with quality‑related matters.
- Perform surveillance and inspections in accordance with site or department procedures, and provide results and proposed corrective actions to line management.
- Inspect material and equipment for compliance with purchase order specifications and applicable quality requirements.
- Assist project management in developing an orientation program to ensure project teams are familiar with the requirements of the Project Quality Plan.
- Serve as liaison with individuals and units within or outside division or project structures.
- Make decisions and provide recommendations that have a significant impact on project quality policies and programs.
- Serve as the project QA representative on medium to large projects as assigned.
- Prepare project audit schedules, discipline activity plans, and audit reports (internal and external), noting nonconformances and verifying effective corrective action.
- Act as lead quality auditor and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
- Perform technical and administrative functions such as planning, organizing, interpreting, coordinating, and executing division and project assignments.
- Provide mentoring and people‑development support to direct reports.
- Provide assigned technical, administrative, or functional support to the management team.
- Plan and execute a wide variety of technical and administrative assignments.
- Maintain project QA/PA records for all phases of the project.
- Perform duties of a complex nature and other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Maintain knowledge of and demonstrate ability to perform work safely in accordance with approved safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, and actively participate in Safety Work Groups.
