Job Overview
Food Safety Specialists support our hotel, restaurant, and grocery clients in upholding brand standards, ensuring exceptional food quality, and delivering friendly, customer‑focused service to enhance the overall guest experience.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments that measure conformity to regulatory, industry, and proprietary brand standards.
- Observe food prep and cooking standards to ensure food safety, health, and sanitation practices.
- Partner with clients to address root causes of assessment discrepancies and develop corrective action plans.
- Teach and coach clients how to make their workplace safer and healthier for themselves and their customers.
- Travel 50% to 70% of the time (8–10 days per month), including evening and weekend work.
- Conduct audits and inspections.
- Implement and monitor food safety training and education.
- Investigate food safety incidents.
- Ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain documentation and records.
- Influence others with tact and skill.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback in a positive manner.
- Work autonomously and maintain a flexible schedule.
- Organize and prioritize work based on urgency and efficiency.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of food safety.
- Valid driver’s license in state of residence.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, Saturdays, and evenings as needed.
- Strong knowledge of food safety;
Serv Safe and/or CP-FS certification preferred. - Excellent listening, organization, communication, and time-management skills.
- Meet the requirements to obtain CP-FS certification.
- Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, or local regulations (covered by us).
Hourly: $18.00 – $25.00. Pay may vary by location, skills, education, experience, overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment where applicable.
