Overview
Position Summary...
What you'll do... Leverages leadership to develop teams, teach, train, listen to associates, tour stores, provide feedback, and communicate with all levels regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Leads change efforts, sets clear expectations, and guides teams to implement business solutions while communicating business objectives. Models exceptional customer service standards and supports customer service initiatives, such as community outreach programs, resolving customer needs and issues, and driving process improvements for a high-quality customer experience.
Responsibilities- Drive financial performance by reviewing PL statements, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and controlling expenses aligned to sales in the designated store area.
- Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develop and implement action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit goals.
- Supervise and develop hourly associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, and setting clear expectations; promote a belonging mindset and recruit qualified staff.
- Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, setting goals, driving accountability, and monitoring progress.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy in business processes.
- Foster an inclusive culture that respects individuals, collaborates effectively, and attracts and retains talent while empowering and recognizing contributions.
- Demonstrate integrity and align with Walmart values, supporting the goal of becoming a regenerative company and giving back to associates, customers, and communities.
- Serve customers and members by delivering results, applying EDLP/EDLC models, and making data-driven decisions balancing short- and long-term priorities.
- Strive for excellence through continuous learning, embracing new technologies and skills, and guiding others through change.
- 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training may be required.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
- General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46. Actual rate may meet or exceed applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include bonuses; regional pay zones and state pay differentials may apply where required by law.
