We are seeking a highly skilled commercial and industrial HVAC Technician. We currently have multiple clients actively hiring across the greater Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus areas, offering strong opportunities for placement in each market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems across various properties.
These are direct placement/permanent positions and these roles offer an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise in a fast-paced environment, ensuring optimal performance and safety of HVAC equipment. The ideal applicant will possess comprehensive mechanical knowledge, field service experience, and a strong commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and ventilation systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems such as pipe repairs and system connections.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and calibration.
- Repair or replace mechanical components using welding techniques or equipment repair skills.
- Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommended solutions.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and appliance repairs.
- Operate company vehicles safely in compliance with all transportation regulations.
- Support the installation of ammonia refrigeration systems and other specialized equipment as required.
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical systems.
- Strong construction background with knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, and plumbing.
- Boiler and chiller experience is a strong plus - particularly candidates with hands-on exposure to steam systems, hot water boilers, centrifugal or absorption chillers, and associated controls.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R standards, including ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Experience working in field service environments with a focus on property maintenance.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other testing equipment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred.
- Ability to read technical schematics and perform complex troubleshooting tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective communication abilities.
