Equipment Operator

About the Role

As an Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient processing of inbound materials and refuse of various forms through Reworld’s industrial disposal process. The hours for this position will be 1st shift from 5:00 am – 3:00 pm, 2nd shift from 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm or 3rd shift 10:30 pm – 6:30 am.

• Operate and inspect forklifts, roll‑off truck, yard truck, excavator, loaders and skid steer.
• Manage the safe operation of the site’s equipment in the assigned areas.
• Conduct daily motorized machinery inspections on the site’s equipment.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management including plant operations.

• Two years’ experience in the operation of excavator and/or mechanical equipment.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals.
• Basic arithmetic competency in all units of measure.
• Common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Initiative to take safe action to prevent equipment damage or injury during emergencies or unusual situations.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to walk, stand, sit and climb.
• Ability to lift or carry 50 lbs.
• Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualified to wear a full‑face respirator.
• Consistently work in various weather conditions.

Reworld offers a competitive base salary for this role in the primary posting location. The final salary will be based on experience, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, and other factors. Pay ranges are reviewed periodically and may be modified.
