Wellness Coach

Reports To: Woodcraft Rangers Site Coordinator / Program Manager (day-to-day operations); clinical oversight and case supervision provided by MLC’s designated licensed supervising provider (school psychologist / school social worker) per the WR–MLC MOU

Location: Multicultural Learning Center (MLC), 7510 De Soto Avenue, Canoga Park, CA 91303 (San Fernando Valley)
Hours of Operation: 8 hours/day, Monday–Friday. 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (school-day Wellness Coach hours 8:00 AM–2:40 PM; after school programming support 2:40PM–4:30 PM) except on minimum days. Exact start/end times to be finalized once MLC’s bell schedule and teacher/SEL schedules are set.
Hourly Range: $28.84 – $33.99 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional after school programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer Life Craft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff.

Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, adaptable, relationship-driven professional who thrives in a school-based environment and is comfortable moving between push-in classroom support, small-group facilitation, and 1:1 check-ins throughout the day. They bring a strong foundation in social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practice, and youth behavior support, and can build trust quickly with students, families, MLC staff, and the Woodcraft Rangers team. They are comfortable working within a shared-oversight model — following MLC’s established behavior protocols and clinical guidance while representing Woodcraft Rangers as the employer of record — and know how to hold both structure and warmth in a fast-moving school day.
