About the role

In this role, you will provide technical leadership on client engagements for integration of the One Shield platform to legacy systems, external data providers, data warehouses, and other consumers and providers of data and fully engaged in the development life cycle, to gather and analyze business requirements, estimate, and design, develop, unit test, deliver high quality and efficient code. You will engage and clearly communicate with the team, business owners, scrum masters and other business partners as needed during the development life cycle to achieve business and technology initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver innovative software/architectural solutions that solve our clients’ business problems
  • Identify technical and business challenges, develop architectural specifications to meet requirements and arrive at the best solution
  • Work with internal and external customer technical team members to map customer requirements to technological solutions
  • Ensure that the system and application architectures can facilitate current and future company-wide goals and can scale with growth.
  • Identify, define, and communicate technical decisions, concepts, and interrelationships within a complex system
  • Develop designs and patterns in OneShield

    TM Dragon™ Designer, Web Services, PL/SQL Development, XML, NodeJS, AWS technologies.
  • Design frameworks through a RESTful web service
  • Design Serverless Framework with AWS cloud technologies
  • Define and document the architectural model and design plans and estimates in enough detail for developers and other stakeholders
  • Create prototypes for technical integration solutions and perform hands‑on development work
  • Provide design, development, unit testing, integration testing, and functional and user acceptance testing and production implementation support across all environments
  • Provide technical leadership to other development teams that are using the API platform
  • Write technical design documentation that captures functional and nonfunctional details utilizing integration design templates for all interfaces.
  • Maintain adherence to security, audit compliance, and error handling best practices throughout the project’s entire life‑cycle.
  • Actively participate in Agile sprint ceremonies (sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review/product demo, and sprint retrospective).
  • Deploy implementations, policies, and certificates in different environments.
  • Troubleshoot any issues with integration.
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to implement CI/CD processes to support secure, scalable, and maintainable releases in a highly regulated environment.
  • Document and publish artifacts.
  • Hands‑on involvement 50% of the time.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology, Technical Application Development, or similar roles.
  • 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience with REST services, Microservices and Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Experience in Java middle‑tier development.
  • Prior experience in API performance testing (using JMeter or similar tools) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of API analytics for consumption through various channels including ELK and Kafka stack.
  • Knowledge of Python, Groovy, JavaScript, Angular is a plus.
  • Knowledge of PaaS, Kubernetes, and Docker is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Personal Line insurance is a plus.
  • Knowledge of metadata models like One Shield Enterprise is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Guidewire or Salesforce is a plus.
  • Knowledge of One Shield or other metadata model systems.

The base salary for this role can range from $85,000 to $105,000 based on a full‑time work schedule. An individual’s ultimate compensation will vary depending on job‑related skills and experience, geographic location, alignment with market data, and equity among other team members with comparable experience.

To ensure a successful onboarding experience, all new hires must work onsite at one of our offices during their first week of employment. Candidates should apply only if they are able to meet this requirement.
