Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Metal Supermarkets is seeking a dependable and hardworking Warehouse Worker / Material Handler to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving, processing, storing, cutting, and preparing metal products for customer orders. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments of metal products and materials.
• Pull, package, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Operate band saws, cold saws, forklifts, overhead cranes, and other warehouse equipment safely.
• Measure, cut, and process metal materials to customer specifications.
• Load and unload trucks while ensuring product quality and safety.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Assist customers with order pickups when needed.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous warehouse, manufacturing, fabrication, or metal industry experience preferred but not required.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Ability to read tape measures and use basic measuring tools accurately.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Ability to safely handle metal materials of various sizes and weights.
